Uncanny X-Force #23 (Marvel Comics, released: March 28, 2012)

Predictable as it might be, this storyline actually ended on an okay note. All the fights converge into one massive battle and things begin to make sense (except for how Fantomex was able to put his skinned face back on). In similar fashion to how Psylocke had to kill Warren, we see the same scenario play out with Brian and Jamie. But Brian isn’t as strong as Betsy, who takes over his body and does the deed herself, to save Brian from the pain.

The Skinless Man was just a plot device to extend the story, he didn’t have much to contribute. Actually, the entire Fantomex-stands-trial felt like a plot device in order to get Psylocke here, to this point, where she has to kill another loved one. What repercussions this will have going forward will be hard to tell; I don’t know to what extent the Otherworld gets involved in most of the the Marvel storylines. But this story does continue to demonstrate the hard decisions the X-Force team must make, Psylocke in particular. She has gone through a lot during this series so seeing her character develop after all these events will be key.

I like to talk about comics so obviously I need a website. Who doesn't? At comics, please!, you can find comic reviews and videos and lots of fun stuff so you should visit comics, please! every day or you'll regret it! Don't say I didn't warn you!

Who is 604comics?

I'm just a guy that likes comics. Is that too much to ask? I started reading comics when I was a teen but took a long break and have just recently started up again. I missed out on a lot of stuff in the comic world! But now I'm back and I'm never going to leave. I wonder if I've made the right decision...
